Performing the Top Turnovers and Pocket Turn Card Tricks in Poker

Aside from chip tricks, there are other types of tricks that players can do while playing poker. Another kind of tricks that players can perform is card tricks. There are different card tricks that can add thrill to an ordinary poker game. Some of the tricks are hard to perform. For beginners, they should look for card tricks that are easier to do in actual games.

Two of the easy card tricks are the top and bottom turnovers and pocket turn card. Only two cards are needed when doing the top and bottom turnover. The cards should be faced. Slightly move the card on the top to the left side until it allows the player to open the bottom card. Maintain a tight grip at the bottom card and slip it under the card that is faced-down.

At this point, you have one card that is faced down on top of the card that is faced up. Hold the right edge of the card and carefully move it to the right side. When only a little portion of the faced-down card is covering the bottom card, then lift the right portion of the faced-down card using the bottom card. Before the top card opens, snap the bottom card on top of the other card.

The pocket turn is another trick that can be performed with the use of poker cards. It also uses two cards that are faced down. The first step that should be done is to tilt the top card while holding the edges of the two cards with your thumbs. The back of the top card should be held by the remaining fingers to avoid the audience to see get the trick.

Again, tilt the bottom card using the thumb. With this position, continue tilting the bottom card with the objective of getting the two cards in the position that they are face to face with each other. Afterwards, put the cards again on the table then with the help of the first finger carefully lift and flip the faced-down card on top of the card that is already faced down.

Players who will perform the tricks are reminded that these two are the most basic tricks that can be done using poker cards. Other players may not be impressed but learning these tricks is a good sign that they will not have a hard time learning other card tricks that are more complicated and are considered as advanced poker tricks.
